Maurten is a science- and research-driven company with the aim to provide products which make a difference for athletes in training and competition. We work closely together with national and world elite athletes to understand athletes’ needs.

We combine in-house research with testing in the field and in academic laboratories to develop and evaluate new products. For the development of novel nutrition products, a cornerstone has been our hydrogel technology for achieving high gut tolerability, allowing for high intake of carbohydrates and other supplements in conjunction with intense exercise. First introduced in marathon running, Maurten’s products now have gained wide recognition in endurance sports such as running, cycling, and triathlon, with a potential to expand into other sports. Responsibilities

As the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in driving the operational excellence of our company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Operations (Supply chain management, Procurement, Production and Production plannning, Logistics and Regulatory compliance).

Your main responsibilities will include:

Strategic vision: Develop and implement a strategic vision for operations that aligns with Maurten’s overall goals and objectives

• Production and Supply Chain Management: Ensure smooth and efficient production processes, optimize supply chain operations, and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, working closely with QA/RA team members to maintain a high level of product quality and safety
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key KPIs to measure the effectiveness of operational processes, implementing improvements as needed
• Stakeholder management: Establish and nurture strategic relationships with suppliers, customers and other internal/external stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

• Solid experience in Operations (manufacturing/contract manufacturing, Supply Chain management, logistics, procurement). Preferably within the food or pharmaceutical industry
• Strong project management skills with experience in implementing process improvements and managing change
• Experience in managing operations in a global context, dealing with diverse stakeholders and cultures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with focus on data-driven decision-making
• Proven track record of successfully leading and developing cross-functional teams
• A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred
